25. Library Guidelines

I. Books

● A student may have as many books checked out as needed to complete assigned classroom projects. ● A student should limit the number of books checked out for personal recreational reading to two. ● A book may be checked out for two weeks and renewed at least once, depending on demand.

● Books may be reserved.

II. Overdue, Damaged and/or Lost Books

● Overdue items will help remind the students presented to students through a notice given to English/language arts teachers. ● Students with long overdue material may:

o Receive a call slip to come to the library to be reminded again and to see if the book is lost.

o Have a letter sent home to ask their parents to assist in finding and returning the material.

● Damaged and/or lost books should be paid for in the main office by the end of the semester in which they were checked out.

● Students with overdue material cannot check out additional material until the overdue items are returned or renewed
